Moving Soon!

9 days until we no longer own our first home.  The pressure is on!  I will be taking a little break from blogging/crochet until we get into the new house.  I am kinda forced to since my yarn is all packed away.  :(
My WIP baby blanket will have to be finished in May as well as my WIP daffodil wreath.
I am excited for the time ahead and hope the move is not too stressful.  Once we get into the new home I will have a craft room all to myself.... well that is my plan but the hubby has been talking about a joint craft/office space.  We will see.

So bye bye for a couple weeks.  If you are looking for something to read here are a few of my favorite blogs:

You should check out Natasja of Crochettime who has been Yarnbombing recently.

Lucy of Attic 24 is so inspiring with all her hooky fun.

Here is a blog I am newly following, The Green Dragon Fly. I love Janette's pictures.

Dinkidots is great for all sorts of crafty ideas.

All About Ami is super fun to see all of Stephanie's little creations, including a new baby girl!

Big House Changes

So we have bought a house (Jan 29), sold our house ( Feb 15) and will be moving (Apr 22) all in 3 months..  Yipee!

The new house!

My husband and I were quite surprised that the house we really wanted in the location we really wanted was out there.  It was really exciting purchasing the house.

Then we realized the real work began when we had to get our house sold.  It was a lot of de-cluttering and organizing, painting (not done by us) and carpet installing (also not done by us) and cleaning (some done by us, some hired out).  All done in 1week and 2 days.  We were on the market with an open house.  We ended up having a multiple bidding situation the night of the open house.  I thought that only happened on TV... but there we were living it.  4 offers to choose from... we were conditionally sold that night.  Very exciting!

Our cat, Pepper, did really well visiting grandma's house (we got her out of the way for painting,  the open house and for the inspection).  And she seems to not mind the car one bit.

Now we are looking forward to the move.
Ahhh... my dreams of a beautiful yarn retreat are coming true. :)

Life Changes

Sometimes life will be upside down and everything will seem uncertain.  The life change that my husband and I are looking into is buying our next home.

We are looking for something bigger which would be great for entertaining and something we could stay in for a long, long time.

It is very exciting looking at houses and thinking about the possibilities of where you want to live and what features it will have or not have.

Then, when you may have found THE ONE it is hard to keep calm ... what if we cannot get this one...  what if it sells to someone else before we even get our chance...  what if, what if, what if.... So many uncertainties.

We have put an offer on a house and right now it is conditionally sold to us...  Now for the chaos of getting our house sold....
Will update you later.  :)
